Annelise turned seven on the fifth...wow. I cannot believe my oldest kid is 7! She is such a grown up sweet heart. She is so fun to spoil so I notice that I tend to want to. She is genuinely so excited about life and is a compassionate, strong girl. Happy Birthday Wees.

To celebrate she took her cute carpool girls to the movie Tangled in 3D. It was so cute to see them grabbing at the air & really enjoy the effects. She is a blessed with good friends.

The first chance to play in the snow...fun...but sure didn't last long. It was under 20 degrees outside. I do love the snow. I always knew growing up I was going without during the winter.

Thanksgiving this year was at Chelsey's beautiful home. It was a ridiculously yummy meal (of course since the Yeates' are all great cooks). Charissa planned to have an organic meal with a fresh turkey and all. The girls got together the night before and made pies and laughed and talked. We then had a great meal the next day, watched Sherlock Holmes and planned where to go for the black friday shopping. I chose to sleep in this year. (good choice)

Then last week we had the Bowen party (Josh's mom's side of the family) and the kids (& adults) had a great time. Especially since Santa came to the partay! Aaron is the most obsessed with Santa of all the kids...he followed him around all night and while the other kids had their turn to sit on his lap...he sat right there and wouldn't move more than a few feet away. And when it was finally his turn Santa was..."well, since I know you are super excited hop up here!" Then Santa asked him what he wanted...so Aaron said..."I have been so good Santa." So Santa replies, "good, so a nice gift, like a football or something?" Aaron was quick to let him know he really wants Legos and a little car. I love to see how excited little kids get at Christmas...it really does make it so magical. Annelise told Santa to surprise her this year...letting him know she has been good. And Cole just cried. One more year and maybe he will be excited about Santa. Hopefully...

Twice! I attended Twilight's Eclipse opening night with some friends/neighbors ( obivously a long time ago...I just hadn't blogged about it) and then Harry Potter (Deathly Hallows) opening night as well! Both were fabulous movies!! I have no pics from when I went to Harry Potter...so no proof...but you can take my word for it. If you haven't seen either...you really should. But, of course, the books are better.I am not going to say which movie out of the two was better...but may I say that I loved the Harry Potter books alot more. And, not seeing a movie at midnight...is better too. :)

Aaron is now king of this throne. He actually has been for a few months now...I just forgot to update those who were anxiously waiting for this day (as I was).

I am jealous of this...I love love love old architecture! I bet it was so beautiful.
Josh got back from a trip to the city of Chicago yesturday. He went there with 3 other friends for four days and reports that they had the best time. He went to the Utah v. Notre Dame college football game, & also a Chicago Bears NFL game. They also toured the city, ate out for every meal, shopped (for souvenirs), & also toured Wrigley field. That part made me so jealous because of my undying love for baseball. I am so glad to because my souvenir was a Chicago Cubs shirt. I love it! The kids missed him, but loved their presents when he got home. I am so glad he had fun, but also so glad he is home!

I saw this article and thought it was interesting....do you? I love that I found my very favorite show that I watch now on my list with the political party I belong to. Just in case you were wondering, my favorite shows are (not really in order, well, except for #1):

1) LOST (even though they are re-runs now. Old habits die hard

2) Modern Family

3) Vampire Diaries

4) Dr Oz Show & The Doctors

5)Glenn Beck

6) The Bachelor

7) I loved the shows 24 & Alias as well (both are over now too)

8) Anything on the History Channel (esp. American History)

9) I love most shows on HGTV too :)

I wish I could have attended a tea party rally, but non have gone on in Utah over the last 6 months. I could have traveled...but I guess it can just count that I wish I was there and still participate in politics without having been to a rally. Daily I contribute to the website American Family Association who strongly uphold families, christians, and conservatives. I also love to participate in the voting process. Yesturday proved to be quite an interesting election day. I must say a good luck to current House Minority Leader John Boehner. (soon to be elected majority leader) I believe that by all the seat changing in the House (and ultimately the overthrow of Nancy Pelosi (YAH!!!), that Americans have repudiated spending and big government. We are showing a repudiation for the current way of government and the strong distrust people have with their politicians. It was a message to Obama and the democrats to change course. I believe we need a smaller, less costly, more accountable government. Washington is out of touch with the American people, and hopefully by conservatives taking the House back that it will change that. I hope...

& Scooby-Doo

Gotta love Utah weather and raining on Halloween! Needless to say, Daphne, Scooby Doo and Spiderman still had so much fun. They had so many activities all in one weekend...starting with...
[Annelise's school party, this is the craft I had the students do with painted sugar pumpkins and craft foam]

[My work party on Friday]

[Trujillo/Yeates Halloween party (thanks for all your hard work Chaleh)]

[Josh and I went as Popeye & Olive Oyl] [Josh did his magic show again & did even better this time]

[Pumpkin carving]
the kids each had their own idea for their pumpkin...except Cole's idea for a pumpkin came from his shirt :)

[ward carnival & trunk or treat][pouring rain by this point in the day]

[Trick or Treating][once the rain let up]

[Halloween is by far my favorite holiday]
