“The time has come for us to stand a little taller, to lift our eyes and stretch our minds to a greater comprehension and understanding of the grand millennial mission of this, The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.”

Remembering Pres. Hinckley

I just learned the news of his passing about one hour after it happened...and I am so sad to see him go. But I can only imagine the welcome he is recieving on the other side. He was such an incredible man and will be remembered fondly. One sweet memory of mine was of the feeling I felt when he spoke in the last conference(I think it was on the Sat. pm. sesstion). He spoke of Joseph Smith and of the truthfulness of what he knew and I must say I have never felt the spirit stronger in conference. I will miss his humor and kind heart.

Mitt Fans?

Those who know me well, know how very much I love politics...and so I thought it only fitting that I put a plug in for my personal choice of a presidential candidate. Lets all cross our fingers and hope he does well in the Michigan caucus on Tuesday. Go Mitt!

What do you twilight fans think?

I found this pic of Edward and Bella on one of my old friends blog. What do you all think? I think they look hot in this pic...but I don't know if I can see Edward as anything but Cedric Diggory (Harry Potter movie character). I do love my Twilight books and sure wish the 4th book was out already! And the movie! The die hard fans all need to go to the opening night together when it finally gets here!

New Years Resolutions

Happy New Year's!
And lucky for me...creating this blog is one of my resolutions I can check off my list! (I do however need to keep it up-to-date through out the year to keep my resolution.) We did have quite an eventful 2007. And December never fails to end the year eventful! We got to travel to AZ and see my family and see Brandon graduate from the Police Academy. We also got to fulfill all the family traditions around the holidays of seeing Santa, the temple lights, the nativity, 24th party with Josh's family, and other fun events. We added a few with an ugly sweater party and sledding on New Year's day. I am sad to see 2007 end...but, 2008 will be welcomed if the real estate market gets better!

As for immediate news...only thing I can think of is that Josh is playing Mr. Mom a couple days a week now...since I am working again. Oh how I just love cleaning teeth. Well, it does bring home some bacon...but I miss my kids and wish I was home. Josh is the hardest worker there is...and I am so lucky to have him...and I am glad he can step in and help tend while I go to work. Ok...that is all for now...I shall post again soon!
