FiRsT DaY oF sChOoL

Annelise had her first day of school last week. After the first day she wasn't sure she liked first grade...but after the second day she reported to love her teacher and school! I am so glad. She has a couple of old friends in her class and I already love her teacher, Ms. Hellewell. Annelise did ask me before the week started if she had morning or afternoon first grade...oops...I have since informed her that it is all day. Luckily, she liked eating her lunch at school with her friends. I do miss her here at home...and so did her brothers. They both were so excited when she came home that first day...we waited on the steps and Aaron screamed for joy when he saw her and Cole was jumping. I hope my little girl has a good year.

Annelise had her first game of AYSO soccer on Saturday. I don't think she is going to the All-star best player...but I think she has alot of potential! She had alot of fun and of course, that is all that matters right? :)

I wish this was the political rally I could have attended for my list...I would have LOVED to attend Glenn Beck's "Returning to Honor" rally on the 28th at the Lincoln Monument steps. What an amazing rally that would have been to attend.

Check. This one was all made possible by all the hybrids the garden grew this year! I kinda forgot about accomplishing this goal...until I realized I made the family eat different hybrids. We did buy the Orange Honeydew at a fruit stand in Farmington...and it is SUPER yummy. I am not a honeydew fan...but this was so good. Then, we had...ummm...shall we call it Cucumer-ini? (cucumber + zuchini) I put it in our zuchini bread and no one knew the different. And then we had spaghetti squash-ini. (squash + zuchini)Tasted mostly like zuchini. That darn zuchini plant was just making it's merry way all around the garden this year.

#27 See Cole Walk

What a sweet relief this has been. Cole is almost 2...(22 months old) and finally walked on August 6th. And now he is really getting the hang of it. He walked just a couple days before I left for girls camp...practiced alot while I was gone and now is doing so good.


Thanks goodness, because about a month before, his physical therapist and doctor were very concerned. Cole has had a problem with eating, talking, walking, and a few other normal functions.

So, after some diagnosis he was labeled with a FAILURE TO THRIVE.

So, it was recommended that he get an MRI at Primary Childrens of his brain and some blood tests. We have since gotten the results back from the MRI and it was normal. But, the blood test are still to be determined. Should I be worried it is taking so long? I call pretty regularly to see if any answers are in...but it really is taking forever.

I have always (even before he was born) had the slight feeling something was wrong, but was never sure what. I am worried for our sweet little Colers...and even more worried that we won't find out what is wrong. I can just see the results coming back normal and me still wondering if I did all I am supposed to- to find out what might me wrong. I love my little Colers...he is such a sweet little boy with a happy disposition and very strong spirit. And I am so thankful he is walking so he is showing some progress...despite how slow and painstaking it may be.

The theme for camp was: You are not alone. I never once got to feel alone at camp with this great ward! :) & the camping tent style was so fun with a bunch of fun ladies to share it with! [where's waldo? umm...I mean sister yeates?]

C-Park! I must say that I do love these girls...every single one of them...and I am so glad I got to spend the week with them! Ticks and all. I must say that Camp Woodland is just beautiful though...and I loved seeing so many stars at night. And the river was actually fun...thanks for forcing me to go Beehives! I can't believe girls camp has come and gone for the year! When I think back about camp I laugh, cry, and recite some crazy chants in my head! Thanks girls...love ya.

After three sets of swim lessons...that is all it seems we did this summer! But at least the kids loved it! No...I did too. I really did enjoy it this summer! Especially when friends were there! (Menloves!) :)

HaPpY aNnIvErSaRy

Yesturday was Josh and I's 8th anniversary, on the 8th month, 8th day. Cool huh? Being that it was Sunday, we celebrated on Friday and Saturday by going to a movie with the Menloves and Flints on Friday. We saw Inception (I loved it) and then broke our sugar fast at Yogurt Stop. Then, on Saturday, we had a wedding to attend. And little did I realize how wonderful that would be. It was so sweet to hear the sealing covenants and promises so close to our anniversary and to see another sweet couple make those vows. I cannot imagine having spent the past eight years with anyone else. I love Josh and all of his amazing qualities. But, we both have so much to work on...so I am glad we have each other to grow old with.

It was my cousin Todd Gardner's wedding. He married a cute girl named Megan. Their wedding was pretty small and quaint, which was nice and I felt so blessed and lucky to have been invited. Todd was one cousin I always felt a special affinity for. Infact, I must say I have the most dear, deep feelings for all my cousins. I LOVE the Gardners & Roberts! They are the best family...so in honor of them, I put on an old pic of that family. Todd is the one with the red pants on in the front...and unfortunately I am the one with a puffy white dress and glasses in front. Special day if I am letting that picture be public!

completed. I should have put some reward to the completion of this goal if I did it...I would have never thought I could though! It was so hard not to eat sugar for the first four days...then the following weeks actually were pretty easy. Then, the final week came- and I think mentally I knew it was ending so then it became almost impossible! I was tempted to eat anything and everything that had sugar for the last couple days. So Josh and I broke it with Yogurt Stop and it was so worth the wait. Luckily, I haven't binged to make myself sick! :)
