SuPeR BuSy (& FuN) WeEk!

I still love Halloween and all the fun of fall- but I must say it is a super busy time of year! I thought it was just Christmas that was nuts! I love it all though! We started this crazy week with carving pumpkins. Annelise picked a bat motif and Aaron wanted the pirate pumpkin.

And then we had a day at Black Island Farms- fun, but it was FREEZING!

And then to the class Halloween parties. I was the "class mom" for Annelise's party, so I must say I am slightly glad that one is over- except there was awesome moms that helped and it turned out so fun.

And I threw this collage in of Annelise because she LOVES her costume (Giselle from Enchanted) and begs for me to take her picture!

Two of my cute neighbors and I planned a neighborhood Halloween party for the neighborhood kids. We had them go on a halloween scavenger hunt with clues taking them to a graveyard, (with decorating tombstones and a graveyard musical chairs game) a mad scientist's lab (Josh dressed up as Professor Yonkers & showed the kids gross food body parts of Hal O. Ween), a pirate's ship (& a fun search for the hidden treasure), and a reading of a Halloween story (about a scarecrow). Then at the end we had them end with bobbing for apples, eating donuts off a string, and lots of food. The other neighbor moms that helped us out were AWESOME! And I think the kids loved it! Josh only made one kid cry from fright at his lab, overall it really was so cute and fun. I think it may turn into a tradition! I think it was worth all the work since the kids had so much fun! We had 25+ kids (some had to take off before we took the picture!)

This past Sunday, church this week was only 2 hours so we thought we needed to fill the time with something fun for the kids. So we went up to Pineview and let the kids wade in the water and we went on a nature walk. The water was freezing, but the walk was so nice with the most beautiful fall colors. The kids insisted we bring their swim suits! And luckily it wasn't that cold outside!

Later that night we decorated a haunted gingerbread house

I also included a picture of the picture I took of the tv when Good things Utah recognized Cole's bday (a few weeks ago)

And I just had to put this one in here- Annelise and Aaron can seriously fight like cat and dog like no other- but they also can be best friends. Case in point...

My sweet little Cole (Colester, Col-ers, Bowlers, Fuzzy Hair) I cannot believe you are one year old now, but I must say how very happy we are to have you in our famiy. I love you.

And then, inbetween session we went to Jensen Nature Park and hit golf balls and took a walk. This is where I took pictures of my little birthday boy. I still remember being in the hospital a year ago, looking out my window with it raining and watching conference! I cannot believe that a year has gone by! I totally agree with the clique that days go by slow, but years go by fast! It is so true!

During conference this past weekend I had the kids do some crafts- and I must say a thanks to Heidi for the ideas...because the kids loved them! The cutest one I have yet to do- say stay posted for pics of that one!
