[Thank you Mayra for helping us look so sweet on Easter. Isn't she amazing? She made our bow ties, suspenders, and Annelise's dress.]

[This past week was spring break. And I would say we made the most of it...we went to the movie "The Lorax" with friends, the park with friends, Boondocks, dinner/movie/popcorn night with friends, and had some good ol family time fun. We didn't leave town but sure had fun. We are so thankful for our wonderful friends and for the time off from school to enjoy spring. ]

[I saw the cutest idea for conference on a cute blog to do conference bags...having a bag with a special treat or activity for each member of the 12 apostles or first presidency. It turned out so well and was a HUGE HIT with the kids! It certainly got them to watch almost all of the 4 sessions without complaint.]

Annelise chose to do her school "world report" (like a book report but on a place) on Rocky Point, (Puerto Penasco, Sonaora, Mexico.) She loved talking about one of her favorite places in the world and showed lots of pictures of the four different times she has been there. She loved dressing up for the part and also taught the class how to make tissue paper flowers. She did such a great job teaching the craft and it was so fun to watch her. Muy Bueno Annelise!

Recently, Annelise, along with all the second graders at her school had the opportunity to participate in a program highlighting "heroes" they have learned about this year. Annelise had a small part in play explaining Abe Lincoln as a hero. It was such a cute program and I wished my video camera hadn't of died half way through! I will say this though...Annelise and I both agree that this wonderful woman is one of our heroes. (her teacher Mrs Inderrieden)
