I have alot to "ketchup" on to stay moderately updated on our blog! So here goes!

{Fourth of July}
We got to go to the Stadium of Fire. It was my first time and I was so excited. You know what, I almost think I was as excited or more than Annelise that the Jonas Bros. were performing. She says she likes them because they sing good, and she likes the way they dress and their hair. My little girl likes boys already! However, I agree! I might have even sang along and was sad when it was over! And the fireworks were awesome, and came just in time before the wind picked up too much! It looked like it wasn't going to happen with all the lightning in the distance! I must admit that I did cry (luckily not for the Jonas Bros) but when Glenn Beck spoke about the serviemen/women who sacrifice for our country. We really are so blessed and I just can't imagine how much of a sacrifice it would be to fight for your country, far away, away from your family, in a foreign place; it brings so many emotions. I am so thankful for the service our troops give. I love patriotic holidays. I just love this country so it is such a fun thing to celebrate.

{Aaron's bday}
Aaron turned three two days after the fourth and we loved to celebrate our little Aaron. He is such an energetic, fun-loving, smart little boy. He loves trains so my mom (who came into town for a couple days) and I made a train cake for him and since it is an odd year for his bday- that meant we just had a family only party. We did bust out the fireworks in the end after presents (two trucks and a leapster game) and cake. I think that he felt special and knew it was his day the whole day and I don't think he missed out on anything by not having a party. (I tend to over-do parties so I can only do them every other year.) We love Aaron and are so glad he is in our family. He has a magical ability to capture peoples' hearts. (including mine)

{Roy Aquatic Pool}
I just love my cute neighbor Mindy, she plans fun stuff and gets all of us to go. She is such a great party planner and I love to benefit from it. This time it was swimming for anyone who could go at the pool. I did however get sunburnt on my nose since it was the first time of the summer to really get out in the sun. It has been one overcast summer so far! The kids had such a good time. And it is fun to have something fun to do with the kids!

{Park City}We also got the chance to go to Park City and stay overnight in the prettiest hotel I have ever stayed at! We got invited by our cute friends the Menloves and it was so fun. It was the first time we had ridden the Alpine Coaster- wow that was fun. I got to take Annelise with me and Josh took Aaron and it was so awesome. The Menloves have the cutest kids and it was fun to have our kids and their kids play. It was too short of a "stay-cation" though. I need more time away from home I think. That is what makes the summer fun- is the times you get to get away.

{Baby Landen}
OH! I almost forgot! One super important thing happened too...I am an aunt on the Harline side of the family! Finally! But hey, when you look at that little Harline face...it was worth the wait. I wish I could hold him right now! Congrats Corb & Amy.

Here is some good ol randomness for ya!
Josh had fathers & sons with Aaron for the first time...I heard it was cold but that they both had alot of fun. It is a good way to start out the camping for the year (he says)

Annelise is out of school now. Two of her teachers cried when we took these pictures. She has been so lucky to have good teachers and a good school to go to. She loved being the peacock in the school program, and will miss school- and so will I!

& Annelise is almost done with her dance lessons- her recital is on Saturday but I took a couple of pics after dress rehearsal. I will probably post the official pic when I get it. It is funny how it hurts my feelings- but she doesn't want to dance anymore. She tells me that her teacher is mean, and I think it is probably true because her teacher is the owner and is strict, but good teacher. (maybe not the best for little girls though)

And Cole is just so sweet- he is just the love of my life right now. Do you love how he sucks his thumb? I am still deciding if I am going to break him of the habit now, or wait until he is a year old. What do you think?

Here is the latest and greatest from the Yeates family...
1. Cole is now eating solids! He sure hated rice cereal but likes most of everything else. (esp. fruits) I am afraid I have another sweet tooth on my hands.

2. I got to clean Aaron's teeth for the first time last Thursday, and of course did Josh's and Annelise's the same day. There are some perks of working in a dental office. Aaron was so much better than I thought he would be...he loved the bubble gum prophy paste and Annelise hated the cookie dough prophy paste. Can't say I would blame her. And just to report, no cavities for the whole family!

3. We made our first venture to the zoo for the year. It was actually kinda cold outside, but it was such a good day to go because it wasn't too hot for all the animals to be out! Aaron loved the monkeys (they have alot in common with each other) and Annelise love the peacock and elephant. When we passed the rhinos it stunk so bad that Aaron kept asking me, "where poops?" Hmmm, I just left that one alone. It was nice cuz we got to go with Kim, my sister-in-law and her kids (we love our cousins!) and Jen Strong and her cute kids. And of course I caved and payed extra to have the kids ride the carousel and the train. It was a good trip and gave me confidence to try more with the three kids.

4. Last thing is we found a snake in our backyard. Annelise was terrified but curious, and Aaron had absolutely no fear and picked it up! But here-in lies the debate, Josh called it a GARDNER snake and I think it is called a GARTER snake. So who is right? What do you think? (ps...I am always right by the way)

After a great vacation...it is so hard to come back home to regular life. Don't you think? If only we could live a life "on vacation" at all times! And the beach is just too far away from here! It was so nice to practice the 'ol spanish and realize how very much I am forgetting! It was all too nice to see my family as well. I wish Corb & Amy could have gone, so that was a bummer...but my mom did bring a friend, Mark...and he was fun to get to know. He took all of our joking really well! What a place to vacation...I tell ya. It is as close to heaven as it gets for me

We got to see Tanner & Emily and their cute puppy too...and Brandon & Mayra's new puppy, and the rest, well, it is pretty much said well enough by the pictures. We just had too much fun.

CAN YOU TELL I LIKE TO TAKE PICTURES?
WE LOVE PUERTO PENASCO A LITTLE TOO MUCH I THINK!

WE JUST LOVE THE SAND AND WATER AND ARE SO ATTRACTED TO IT!

THIS WAS MY FAVORITE PART OF THE TRIP...ATV RIDING...AND THE KIDS LOVED IT TOO! I DID HAVE A GALLON OF SAND IN MY EYES AFTERWARDS THOUGH...

HAPPY EASTER! WE LOVED BEING WITH THE AZ COUSINS!

Do you want to see how talented Mayra is at sewing? She made my kids' Easter outfits. She is too nice to us...and I am so glad she has a talent that benefits me! Thanks!

DOESN'T YOUR BOYFRIEND LOOK HANDSOME?

AnNeLiSe UpDaTeS

The latest and greatest from our little girl is...TADAH! She got glasses! I must say she looks pretty darn cute wearing them, but I was so sad when they told me she needed them. Why? Because I had really thick glasses growing up and got ridiculed so badly I have a hard time remembering very many days I didn't cry after school. Now don't feel too badly for me...because I have been blessed to be able to wear contacts and so will she. Her eyesight is also nothing compared to what mine is- and only needs to wear the glasses to school. However, she loves them and chooses to wear them alot more than that! Which I think is great because now she can see better and that is all that matters! I sure love her and I am sorry I passed on my bad eyesight to her!

AND... I have posted a couple drawings she did lately. Can you tell what her three biggest obsessions are?
1. MERMAIDS

2. WONNDER WOMAN AND THE JUSTICE LEAGUE

3. DRAWING PICTURES & ART! I need to try to help her develop this talent... I think there is some ability there and mostly she just loves it and enjoys it so much!
